The Story Behind Mapspoto

Why this app exists — and what it’s trying to change.

Hi 👋 From ideas to something real

I’m not a traditional developer. I’m someone who likes ideas, experiments, and thinking about how products could feel different.

For a long time, people like me could imagine things, but not easily build them. The rapid progress of AI changed that. It gave ordinary people a new kind of power: the ability to turn ideas into real products.

MapSpoto came from that shift. Even though more and more of social life happens online, many people still want real-life connection: to meet in person, make friends, and find like-minded people nearby.

Physical distance often decides whether people actually meet, so I chose a map as the core experience: open the map, see what’s happening around you, and join when something feels right.

The app is now live, and I’m continuing to improve it step by step. If you try it, I’d really love to hear how it feels in your city.
